EDI is the short form for Electronic Data Interchange , exchange of electronic
data using inter-organizational information system. In other words, EDI is an inter-organizational
computer to computer exchange of standard business docs, in a structured and
machine processable format, with the objective to eliminate duplicate data entry and to improve
the speed and accuracy of the information flow.
